GN blog post #4
I am not familiar with graphic novels, I have read on a graphic novel in my whole life and that was last year in my global children studies class at Eastern.
My idea to use graphic novels in a secondary English education classroom is to have them pair up in groups and interpret the novels. I feel live graphic novels are important because it combines art and words for kids/students who are visual learners. it helps with dialogue and helps decipher the text as they read along.
Not every student is an auditory or kinesthetic learner so it is important to help all students with their reading and writing by giving them the tools nessacary.
